Also komplett vegan, yay!
English translation
Poppy seed meets marzipan and you don't need more for a irresistible pastry.
Let's face it, is there anything better than a sweet yeast braid? I do not think so. But a simple yeast dough would be far too boring. This one is filled with poppy seeds, marzipan, a little sugar and almond milk. So completely vegan, yay!
It's best to start with the yeast dough. And don't worry, with the tricks you will succeed perfectly every time. So it is important not to mix the almond milk too warm and of course not too cold with the yeast. Sounds a bit banal, but that's one of the most important steps. As soon as your almond milk is perfectly lukewarm, you can knead all the other ingredients into a firm dough. Then, at least for me, it's off to the windowsill. My heating is there too and it seems like a very good place to let all my yeast dough soak. If you have a warmer place in your apartment, then take advantage of this in any case. In summer, the dough can also be covered in the sun for a few hours!
While the dough is opening nicely, the filling continues.
I put poppy seeds, marzipan, almond milk, margarine and sugar in my blender and pureed until a smooth mass is obtained. Not a minute and it's done!
Roll out the finished dough thinly and on a floured work surface, coat with the filling, roll in and then cut through the middle once. Put the two ends together and then there is a little mess. Thanks to my long hair, I can plait in a few seconds, and you can do the same with the dough. At least as good as possible ... It really doesn't have to be perfect. Shape it into a circle and then it goes into the oven.
So simple and so delicious!By the way, the poppy seed braid is not only great with coffee or tea, a piece really goes round the clock. Yes, or for lunchtime!
